MNPS ADVANCED RAIL SYSTEM New Mosin 91/30 Scope Mount 

The main purpose of the mount is replacing your Soviet Mosin Nagant 91/30 mount to accept picatinny set up. This Mosin Nagant 91/30 scope mount is new and manufacture by Kodiak Defence Inc (patent pending under )

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR MNPS ADVANCED RAIL SYSTEM:


STEP 1


POINT FIREARM IN A SAFE DIRECTION, REMOVE / EMPTY MAGAZINE, ENSURE CHAMBER IS EMPTY, SAFE AND CANNOT DISCHARGE ACCIDENTLY. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHILE PERFORMING THIS INSTALLATION / DISASSEMBLY.


STEP 2

Securely mount the firearm in a stationary cradle or vice. 


STEP 3

 It is recommended to use a laser bore sight to assist in rough reticle alignment.

 

STEP 4

Install two m4 set screws into the tapped holes from the angled side. Allow the ends of the set screws to protrude roughly 1/16 of an inch from the (inside) flat side.


STEP 5  

Back off the fire arm mounts locking screw and elevation screws too allow insertion of the MNPS mount. Locate the front divot onto the fire arm mounts half sphere button, then lightly snug up the fire arms rear locking screw until the 2 MNPS mounts set screws contact the body.


STEP 6

Lightly adjust the fire arm mounts elevation screws until the MNPS mount is roughly central in the fire arm mounts slot.

 

STEP 7

Temporarily mount the scope rings onto the rail, adjust the scope for proper eye relief. It may be easier to remove the rifle from the vice and hold The fire arm in the desired position to set the eye relief. Follow manufacturers specs and torque the lower rings onto the rail in desired position.



STEP 8  

Place the fire arm back in the vice and level the action. Secure it from moving while making the final adjustments to the scope and mount.



STEP 9

Properly install boresight into the barrel, snug the scope ring screws by hand.



STEP 10

Using combinations of the fire arm mounts elevation screws and the MNPS mounts windage screws and locking screw, adjust until the reticle and the boresights laser dot are aligned. (Ensure the bolts handle will clear the mount and scope rings by adjusting the sights windage and the mounts windage screws while cycling the bolt handle.)

STEP 11

Tighten the elevation screws and the rear locking screw, while maintaining proper alignment with the boresight.

STEP12  

We recommend lapping the scope rings bores to provide a precision fit and alignment.

STEP13  

Adjust the scopes reticle so it is level with the action then torque the top scope rings screws to the proper manufactures specs.





STEP 14

Ensure the dot and reticle are still aligned, make any slight adjustments necessary with the scopes windage and elevation knobs, reset to zero if available. 

STEP15

Due to the variations in aftermarket bolt handles diameter and bend radius, some slight clearance may need to be provided to ensure the handle does not contact the MNPS mount or scope rings through the full travel.
